Translation Services
Our core service is English to French translation. We however also translate from and to the key languages, including:
- German
- Italian
- Spanish
- Dutch
- Chinese
- Japanese
Other language pairs can be handled as needed.
Translation process
The translation process can be adapted to your requirements, but typically, here is how this works:
- Document analyse / Quote Your documents are analysed to evaluate the technical requirements, identify terminology/format issues and establish a quote.
- Translator(s) selection and assigment Based on the previous analyse, translators are selected based on their knowledge and experience with similar documents. Translator "A" is great with car manuals, but is he the right guy when it comes to ERP software (Enterprise Resource Planning)? Thanks a large network of translators, we can assign the right translators for the job.
- Document preparation (if necessary) Word/RTF documents require no or little preparation, but the same can not be said of other formats such as HTML, XML,... We prepare the files to allow our translators to concentrate on the translation and protect the format integrity.
- Translation proper Translators translate the document. They review their own translations.
- Review by a different translator - optional If required, the translation can be reviewed by different translators to ensure the highest standards. In this case, this second translator will work together with the original translator to produce as good a translation as possible, not only at review time, but also during the course of the translation.
- Format check We deliver documents in the same format as the original document, whenever possible. If you require a different format, please let us know in advance.
- Delivery Documents are organized and delivered as per the original agreement.
Other services
Translation is our mainline service. We however provide other related services including document preparation (also unicode), edition (Partial rewrite to polish up the translation in the target language), proofreading (error checking - grammar/spelling) and review (document is compared to the original and checked for accuracy and consistency + edition & proofreading).
Translation is not a "cogs and wheels" type of thing and translators occasionally make mistakes. Unfortunate but true of all of us. When translation quality is vital, it is a good idea to call on a different provider to check the original translation.
We can also provide basic Web design to integrate your translations in your existing Website.
